Southampton City Council Commissions Passive Fire Safety Works Project

Fusion21 member Southampton City Council is carrying out fire safety upgrade works across 20 high rise properties, after accessing our Compliance and Facilities Management Framework.

The contract was awarded to national maintenance company CLC Contractors who have an established base of operations in Southampton.

The works include the installation and upgrading of passive fire safety measures including fire safety compartmentation, the supply and fitting of fire doors, fire resistant glazing and the improvement of fire signage to aid evacuations.

"As a council we remain committed to ensuring the safety of our residents and buildings and following an OJEU compliant procurement process we’re delighted to have been able to select CLC Contractors as our supplier of choice to deliver our requirements.”

Neville Tomblin, Project Manager at Southampton City Council

Phil Woodhead, Category Manager at Fusion21 added: “We understand that fire safety is a top priority for our members. These works will ensure the integrity of the buildings giving residents and Southampton City Council peace of mind.”
