Fusion21 and PfH Announce Forthcoming Photovoltaics and Solar Agreement

After 12 months of in-depth analysis and research Fusion21 and PfH have devised the Photovoltaics and Solar Agreement which is part of the joint Retrofit Solution.

The agreement has been developed after extensive research and has been undertaken in collaboration with organisations such as TPAS and The University of Salford through the Fusion21 Knowledge Transfer Partnership. Working with consultants, Registered Provider user and product groups and engaging with tenants, have enabled Fusion21 and PfH to develop a robust Retrofit Solution.

The agreement will include the supply and fit of materials in six key areas, of which the first is Photovoltaics and Solar, due to launch in May 2011.

The result of extensive research and development has allowed Fusion21 and PfH to deliver a framework that is fully EU compliant, delivers the sector value for money, encompasses technological expertise and most importantly delivers added value through job creation and training initiatives in the communities of our clients.

The framework is available for providers to call off on supply only, install only or combined install and supply.

Retrofitting the UK's social housing stock is the sector's biggest challenge of the decade. It is crucial that registered providers manage this correctly - with the cost of meeting carbon emissions and fuel poverty targets being potentially high, the social housing sector needs to obtain value for money at every available opportunity.

Fusion21 and PfH will be announcing more details of its Retrofit Agreements between now and September 2011.
