FJF employees on their first day with KHT

Through the Future Jobs Fund initiative the Fusion21 Skills team has been able to help the lives of many unemployed people struggling to find suitable employment in the local area.

Knowsley Housing Trust recently took on a team of Neighborhood Support Assistants through the Future Jobs Fund initiative in October; the role of Neighbourhood Support Assistant involves providing support services such as safety, repair of communal areas, cleanliness and general maintenance to KHT residents.

The opportunity provided by the Future Jobs Fund has enabled local team of 6, Peter Warham, Leonard Neild, Christopher Waugh, Shaun Mcnabb, Graeme Comaish, and Paul Gibson into employment.

The group raging in ages from 22 to 52 are working well together and are helping to make constructive improvements to communal areas of KHT properties.

Since their start in October the teams work has already made a positive impact, during a recent resident feedback survey on the work of the Neighbourhood Support Team an impressive 73.92% of residents said that they where satisfied with the service the team of 6 are providing.

Louise Sanderson of Knowsley Housing Trust told how impressed she had been with the standard of employee coming through Fusion21 as a result of the Future Job Fund.

She said “They have all done a great job for our residents and I would just like to re-iterate that it is hugely important that we continue to support the Future jobs Fund.”
