Helena Propertycare creates 6 apprenticeships for local residents

Six young people have been given a chance to build future careers as they join Helena Propertycare’s team of 240 trades people.

The response to the recruitment drive was overwhelming with 335 applicants applying for the 6 positions. Out of these 29 where invited to attend an assessment day, the six successful youngsters were selected for their positive attitude, passion for learning and commitment to construction.

Nichola O’Brien Business Development Manager at Helena Propertycare said, “In the current climate there is limited funding available to support apprenticeships and opportunities for young people to join the construction industry are few and far between, I am delighted that we are in a position to offer six young people this chance.”

“This recruitment supports our target to help address the level of unemployment in St Helens, we are committed to sourcing employment opportunities that will benefit the local community. “
