Fusion21 went big at the HOMES 2014 event in London with its own procurement "hub" and formally launched its new joint venture product to supply low carbon affordbale homes, CoreHaus (www.corehaus.co.uk).
Ten of Fusion21's supply partners, accessible through its frameworks, were exhibiting on the "hub" to meet and greet new and existing clients. These included Arcus Consulting LLP, Bell Group, Bosch Thermotechnology, Fieldway Group, Gas Contract services, Graham Plumbers Associates, Manhattan Atrium, Nulogic Fire Ltd, Pellings and WYG Group.
Staff from Fusion21 were also on hand to invite new clients to hear about its frameworks and social value work.
The new CoreHaus product is a specially-chosen selection of panelised external walling systems ensuring that it can be used in both urban and rural locations with elevation treatments tailored to suit each setting. The standardised modular core has been designed to allow CoreHaus to be configured so that it provides 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom solutions. CoreHaus uses modern methods of construction, intelligently. Its manufacturing principles are based on a standardised 'modular' core which houses a pre-finished WC, bathroom, staircase and heating system. As a result, 80% of commonly-problematic construction processes are taken care of offsite and there is an up to 50% reduction in the onsite construction programme.
The event, which took place on 26/27 November, draws property and housing professionals from across the UK with the keynote speaker being Eric Pickles, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government.
