Liverpool Primary School Treated To Playground Revamp

A primary school in the Knowsley area of Liverpool is being treated to a playground revamp – thanks to paint materials donated by Fusion21 supplier, Bell Group UK.

The outdoor space at St Leo’s & Southmead Primary School is undergoing an artistic transformation, with colourful artwork – designed by local Liverpool company art4design – helping to brighten up the playground used by reception classes.

National painting and decorating contractor Bell Group gifted a wide range of paint colours and varnish to support the project, as part of its commitment as a Fusion21 supplier to creating social value in communities.

Working on a voluntary basis, art4design is producing artwork which brings to life curriculum topics studied at school – from animals, to the seasons, buildings and vehicles. Interactive wall-art is also being created to encourage learning and imaginative play – and includes a family of robots made from recycled computer parts.

Mrs Grundy, Head Teacher at St Leo’s & Southmead Primary School said “The kind donation of paint supplies and artistic talent is creating a colourful and fun environment.

“The playground has been transformed and the children love it! The children now choose to play out and will openly talk/chat about the colourful displays.  We are all delighted and many more children in the future will benefit.  Thank you so much.”
