Social Housing Retrofit Questionnaire: The State of the Nation
Whilst it is widely recognised that retrofitting our existing housing stock can meet the joint challenges of carbon reduction requirements and fuel poverty amongst residents, the Social Housing Sector’s ability to respond has been largely hampered by uncertainty.
There were significant changes made to the Feed in Tariff programme in December 2011, CESP and CERT came to an end in December 2012, and Green Deal and ECO were launched in January 2013. This is in addition to the continual delays to the introduction of the Renewable Heat Incentive scheme.
Changes in the wider socio-economic and political landscape have also brought about additional pressures such as the introduction of welfare reform, increased demands on development activity and difficult lending conditions, amongst many other things.
In this sector survey we seek to build on what you told us in our July 2010 survey in order to identify how the challenges over the last few years have impacted the present ‘state of the nation’.
Questions should take no longer than 10 minutes to work through and all entrants will be entered in to a prize draw to win one of five copies of Retrofitting the Built Environment by Wiley-Blackwell, worth £79.95.
