Fusion21 Launches First Dynamic Purchasing System for Fire Suppression Systems - Worth Up To £150 Million

Fusion21 has announced the launch of its national dynamic purchasing system (DPS) for Fire Suppression Systems and Associated Works - the first on the market to provide a complete fire safety solution suitable for the social housing sector and public sector buildings.

Worth up to £150 million over a five year period, there are three specialised lots to select from: Lot 1: Management of the Design, Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Fire Suppression Systems & Fire Safety Works (worth £100 million); Lot 2: Design, Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Sprinkler Systems (worth £30 million) and Lot 3: Design, Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Water Mist & Associated Systems (worth £20 million).

In response to feedback from Fusion21 members, the DPS will remain open for new suppliers throughout its duration – creating a more competitive environment and ensuring members always have access to the best fire safety services and expertise on the market – whilst securing greater efficiency savings and value for money.

Nick Verburg, Procurement and Supply Chain Manager at Fusion21 said: “We’ve seen an increased demand from our members to procure fire safety measures, as the country remains focused on ensuring all properties meet correct fire safety standards.

“This DPS provides a procurement route that has the flexibility to respond to any future changes in legislation or within the wider marketplace and builds upon our already established fire safety offer. By selection via a mini-competition, members will soon be able to access best value fire suppression systems and other elements of fire safety works as part of this package.

“The system will also support registered providers to comply with Section 20 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, as it can facilitate contractor nominations made by leaseholders.”

Now available on the mytenders web portal – www.mytenders.co.uk – the DPS can be found under Notice ID DEC149518 and will be live for members to access in March 2018.

To apply, interested suppliers – including SME’s – are required to complete a PAS91 qualification, whilst those registered on Constructionline should only provide their registration number and answer the DPS specific questions.

Fusion21 welcomes applications from interested organisations that meet the criteria set out in the tender documentation. To discuss this opportunity or DPS further registered providers or suppliers can contact Nick Verburg on 0845 308 2321.
