Earlier this year we launched our national dynamic purchasing system (DPS) for Fire Suppression Systems and Associated Works, following increasing demand for our members.
I’m delighted to announce the DPS – worth up to £150 Million over a five-year period – is now live complementing our comprehensive fire safety offer.
In addition to accessing lots for fire risk assessments plus passive and active fire safety, Fusion21 members can now also select services including the management of the design, supply, installation and maintenance of fire suppression systems; fire safety works and sprinkler systems and the installation and maintenance of water mist and associated systems.
Focusing on quality
All buildings must meet correct fire safety standards and it’s vital that those who supply fire safety services focus on quality.All suppliers who have been awarded a place on our DPS have completed a compliant application process focusing solely on experience and capability. The system will remain open for new suppliers throughout its duration, creating a more competitive environment and ensuring our members always have access to the best fire safety services and expertise on the market.
Suppliers who secured places include Aquamatic Fire UK Ltd, Fortem Solutions Ltd and Morgan Sindall Property Services.
Who can access Fusion21’s DPS and what are the benefits?
All Fusion21 members seeking fire safety services - from social landlords to educational institutions and hospitals – can access our DPS which will cater for a variety of buildings including high rise. Using this approach members will secure greater efficiency savings and value for money through a procurement route that has the flexibility to respond to any future changes in legislation or within the wider marketplace.
For those operating within the social housing sector, another benefit is the system being able to facilitate contractor nominations made by leaseholders - supporting registered providers in complying with Section 20 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985.
