Construction Skills & Fusion21 are partnering together to deliver Building Skills for the Future, a shared apprenticeship scheme covering Merseyside & Cheshire.
Building Skills for the Future has been established in a response to industry demand, as a way of providing construction contractors with an opportunity to meet local training obligations, and to maximise additional training opportunities for apprentices.
Why should you become involved in a shared apprenticeship scheme?
This scheme allows you to take on apprentices, even if you can’t commit to a full 2 or 3 year duration, it's an ideal way to commit to taking on young people in the current economic climate.
All apprentices are employed by Building Skills for the Future; employment responsibilities are taken care of and you are only re-charged for the time the apprentice is spent working with your company. You can also benefit from significant savings of the costs normally associated with recruitment.
Furthermore shared apprentices get the best training the industry can offer- with CITB- Construction Skills.
Housing Providers can signpost residents to unique training and employment opportunities on offer through Building Skills for the Future, participate in the scheme themselves and let your supply chain know about Building Skills for the Future opportunities.
Fusion21 are hosting a launch event on Friday 14th September where contractors and registered providers can come along to learn more about how this scheme can help to benefit your business.
