Fusion21 has been awarded Investors In People (IiP) Gold standard.
Awarded IiP standard level back in 2011, winning the Gold ribbon status is an endorsement of the commitment which the social enterprise has to investing in its staff.
Staff from all levels of the business were interviewed and asked to give an honest insight into their jobs and how they felt working for Fusion21 has helped their career development.
Very positive themes noted in the assessors report included our improved team working and organisational structures; how we focus on aspects of process, work flow, cost control and increasing efficiency; our focus on client relationships and service levels; the knowledge and information sharing taking place and improving aspects of our communication and engagement.
Achieving this standard puts Fusion21 in the top 7% of accredited organisations across the UK who believe in realising the potential of their people.
Special recognition was also made in the assessors report of the number of jobs created as a result of Fusion21’s social value work, which has risen to 1975 as of June 2015.
Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Fusion21 on their Gold standard. Such a high level of accreditation is the sign of great people management practice, and demonstrates a commitment to staff development and shows an organisation committed to being the very best it can be. Fusion21 should be extremely proud of their achievement.”
Commenting on the award Mark Chadwick (left), Head of Business Improvement, said: “We wanted to use this process as a way of recognising the positive things we do for our staff and which filter through to our members. Our staff are at the heart of our mission which enables us to deliver both our procurement efficiencies and social value outputs.
From Chairman to cleaner we make sure all of our staff have an input into our business and the direction in which it travels. This accreditation is recognised across the world as a mark of excellence which is why we are so very proud of achieving this gold ribbon standard.”
