Fusion21 Foundation funds life skills workshops led by Weaver Vale Housing Trust

The Fusion21 Foundation is providing over £46,000 to co-fund a new programme of life skills workshops, delivered by Weaver Vale Housing Trust. Designed to support adults aged 16 and over, the initiative will help attendees gain the practical tools needed to thrive in daily life and work.

Informed by local community feedback, the Thrive360° programme will offer 17 free workshops for all residents living in Winsford, Northwich, Helsby, Frodsham, and the surrounding rural areas. Covering key themes such as financial inclusion, wellbeing, and employment support, the non-accredited sessions will be led by qualified trainers in accessible community venues.

Topics will include budgeting, digital skills, CV writing, and building self-esteem, with informal and interactive delivery to engage a wide range of participants. Sessions will run Monday to Friday and aim to engage 240 people over the next year.

Jo Hannan, Head of the Fusion21 Foundation, said: “We’re proud to support a project that will help address some of the real, everyday challenges people face — from managing the rising cost of living to social isolation and unemployment.

“This initiative aligns closely with our funding priorities: health and wellbeing, employment and skills, and financial inclusion and resilience. We look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have - bringing communities together to access valuable learning and helping people take meaningful steps toward a brighter future.”

Cheryl Quine, Work & Enterprise Manager Weaver Vale Housing Trust, said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with Fusion21 to deliver the Thrive360° programme.  The programme has been developed with input from local residents, focusing on wellbeing, finances, and employability.  It will give people an opportunity to connect with other members of the community and provide them with a deeper understanding of other support organisations.

“At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to create a meaningful difference for our customers and communities, and this programme will continue to equip people with essential skills, help them develop and Thrive.”
