      This Asbestos Abatement & Removal Lot provides a fully compliant, pre‑procured route for public‑sector organisations to access accredited asbestos removal and remediation services. It supports organisations with a duty to manage asbestos risks in both occupied and empty properties, helping to safeguard occupants, visitors and staff, meet statutory duties, and progress refurbishment, maintenance, and capital works with confidence. All contractors on the framework are HSE licensed, experienced and insured and follow recognised safety controls, robust quality assurance, and clear end‑to‑end processes from initial planning through to completion.

      What does the Asbestos Abatement & Removal lot cover?

      This Lot provides end‑to‑end support for asbestos abatement projects, covering everything from initial risk reduction through to safe removal, monitoring, final clearance, and handover. Services available under this Lot include:

      • Project planning, coordination and communication to minimise disruption to building users and residents, supporting smooth delivery across both occupied and void properties. Including ASB5 submission (where required) to the HSE.
      • Encapsulation of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) to manage and contain identified risks
      • Licensed, notifiable non-licenced and non-licensed asbestos removal delivered in line with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012
      • Safe transport and disposal of asbestos waste in accordance with hazardous waste regulations, including consignment note management.
      • Enabling and associated works required to complete abatement projects safely and efficiently
      • Full site set-up, welfare units, enclosures, air monitoring, four stage clearance, and analysis and certification undertaken by UKAS-accredited analysts
      • 24/7 emergency response and the emergency removal of friable asbestos
      • Issuing of Clearance Certificates / Certificates of Reoccupation
      • Making good and reinstatement works following removal, where required

      Typical works completed under this Lot include, but are not limited to: removal of asbestos wall linings and textured coatings (Artex), ceiling and floor tiles, soffits and roofing, pipe lagging and other ACMs commonly found in domestic and commercial properties

      These services support asbestos abatement across a wide range of public‑sector buildings — including housing, schools, hospitals, offices, and other operational environments — with specialist capability for working safely in occupied properties such as houses and flats where continuity and protection of building users are essential.

      All Contractors appointed to the Framework have a current HSE Asbestos Licence issued by the Asbestos Licensing Unit (ALU), relevant insurance and accredited qualifications.
